A wire transfer is generally a same day movement of funds from one financial institution to another if the wire is initiated prior to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.


Outgoing Wire Transfer

To wire funds from your account to another financial institution, the following information is required:

  • The ABA (bank routing) number of the financial institution receiving the wire.
  • The name, address and phone number of that financial institution.
  • The account number of the person/company receiving the wire.
  • The name, address and phone number of the person/company the wire is going to.

There is a fee for an outgoing wire to another bank in the United States.

Fees for an outgoing wire to a bank outside the United States vary. Bookkeeping will quote the current rate at the time the wire is initiated.


Incoming Wire Transfer

Following is the information to give someone to wire funds to your account:

There is a fee for an incoming wire. The fee is deducted from the amount of the wire.
